Sheerah, whose name means “kinswoman,” was a builder in the genealogies of 1 Chronicles. She was a daughter of Ephraim, the son of Joseph. Sheerah’s lineage was both Egyptian and Jewish. She was responsible for building three cities. Although briefly mentioned in Scripture, Sheerah’s life is noteworthy for several reasons.
