Mary was a young Jewish teen from the small and humble town of Nazareth. The most mentioned woman in the Bible, we read many stories of Mary: singing a prophetic song, giving birth after a hard journey during the census, caring for and guiding her son, bringing him to the temple to be dedicated, convincing Jesus to perform his first miracle at Cana, following him through his life and ministry, caring for him in his final moments.

Because of Mary’s obedience and faithfulness to God, she was part of the fulfillment of God’s words to the serpent after the Fall in Genesis: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” (Genesis 3:15) Her life gave way to redemption of the sin that entered the world through Eve.
