Mary of Bethany - Web Size Download

Mary was a disciple and dear friend of Jesus from the town of Bethany. She and her brother Lazarus and sister Martha were very close friends of Jesus. Mary is perhaps best known for sitting at the feet of Jesus in two different well-known accounts.

Mary is an example to believers of devotion, generosity, prophecy, passion, and enthusiasm for learning. She took the posture of a disciple, learning at the feet of her Rabbi. She took the position of a prophet, humbly and lovingly anointing Jesus for his burial. (Mark 14:1-9; Luke 10:38-42)
