Joanna Premium Prints
Joanna was a disciple and financial supporter of Jesus. She was married to Chuza, Herod’s household manager. She was a generous and devoted follower of Christ, faithful till the end of his life. A woman of independent financial means, Joanna left behind her husband and home to travel with Christ and the 12 apostles. She, along with some other women, accompanied them, financially supporting Jesus’s ministry from their own personal funds. Following the death of Christ, Joanna discovered his tomb empty along with Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and some others. (Luke 24:9-10) These women were the first to announce the resurrection of Christ to the apostles. Joanna was one of the first preachers of the Gospel. Her name means "Jehovah has been gracious”.
