Looking Aheaad is one of my series called Loss. As a child, I often experienced my parents through a narrow lens. My perception of what it was to be a mother was shaped by my own experiences and understanding of my mom. I viewed parenting through a small window of my own short life and limited experiences. How different real lived experiences are when you are in the role of caregiver or parent.
